Mozilla is reportedly working on new features for its Firefox for Android mobile browser, and one of them will provide users with Chromecast-like mirroring capabilities.

In a post on his Google+ account, Mark Finkle shows an image of basic tab mirroring from Firefox for Android to a Roku device.

No further details on the matter have been provided as of now, but Engadget suggests that the feature could work over the web, with both devices being connected. Basically, this means that there will be no Wi-Fi Direct or a similar device-to-device protocol to take advantage of.

Mozilla might be set to provide users with the option to operate their devices independently from what it is being shown on the larger display, which could allow for remote control capabilities and the like. More might emerge soon, so stay tuned to learn the news.
