Mozilla is moving forth with the development of their Firefox for Android mobile browser, with the new Firefox 14 flavor available in the Nightly channel.

For the past half a year or so, the company has been working on the release of a new flavor of the browser, one that would adopt the native Android UI for better performance.

The app was showcased a few months ago, and was expected to hit the release channel last month, but it appears that Mozilla is still working on making it available.

In the meantime, however, users can get a taste of the software by installing Aurora and Nightly builds. The latter will bring a taste of Firefox 14 on their devices.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Mozilla adopted a fast deployment schedule for Firefox on Android last year, with new iterations getting through the Nightly, Aurora and Beta channels before hitting the final release stage.

The nightly flavor of Firefox 14 for Android is available from Mozilla’s website.
