Square Enix has just announced the immediate availability of its Final Fantasy V game for Android devices. The new installment in the series is available in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish.

Final Fantasy V made its debut back in the early 90s and was the first in the series to sell more than two million copies. This was also the first game in the franchise to introduce more detailed and expressive 2D character models.

The bad news is that the game won’t come cheap, as Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy V can be purchased for no less than £10.99 / €14.99 / $15.99.

You can now download Final Fantasy V for Android via Google Play Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and up.

In related news, Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy IV: The After Years will be available on iOS and Android devices in winter 2013.
