One of the most popular social applications for mobile devices, Facebook has a less than mediocre client base on BlackBerry 10 platform.

However, BlackBerry is working hard to improve overall user experience through major updates that bring new features, tweaks, and bug fixes.

The latest update brings a new ability that allows users to tag photos while uploading, as well as the possibility to save images posted to Facebook by others on a BlackBerry 10 device.

In addition, the Friends Nearby feature now uses the phone’s location to check which friends are near. It will also allow users to view locations of places that a friend has visited and checked in at.

More sharing options now allow users to share links from Facebook news feed with the BlackBerry Share Menu.

The Events feature now keeps track of Facebook Event invites as well. It also allows users to respond or send invites to others, and enables them to create or view Events.

Facebook 10.0.1 is now available as a free download via BlackBerry World and it should be fully compatible with all devices running BlackBerry 10 and up. Check it out here.
