A new, affordable smartphone is headed for Sprint's network

Mobile phone carrier Sprint is gearing up for the release of a new handset running under Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and featuring an affordable price tag, namely the Sprint Express smartphone that can be seen in the video embedded above.

The handset was not made official as of yet, but Sprint already made this video presentation with it available.

Rumor has it that the phone will become available for purchase as soon as November 18th is here, and that it will sport a price tag of $19.99 upon the signing of a two-year service agreement.

The specifications list Express comes with explains why it features such a low price tag: there's a 2.6-inch display, a 600Mhz application processor, a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper on the back, and the said 2.3 Gingerbread OS flavor.
