South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics is gearing up for the launch of new entry-level smartphones, and one of them has already received the necessary approvals from the FCC, with model number SM-G310 attached to it.

The device has been spotted online a few times before, as it is expected to arrive in India in the not too distant future, but it appears that Samsung is also planning on making it available in other markets out there.

The mobile phone is expected to arrive on shelves with a 4-inch touchscreen display, while measuring 2.47 inches (62.7 mm) wide and 4.76 inches (121 mm) high.

At the same time, the FCC listing unveils that it will hit the market with a 1500mAh battery packed inside, and that it might be running under the Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system version when that happens, as PhoneArena notes.

No other details on the new Samsung SM-G310 smartphone have been provided as of now, but the fact that it has already passed through the FCC approval process suggests that it could be unveiled sooner rather than later.

Info on the phone’s availability and pricing is not available either, but keep an eye on this space to learn more on it.
