The application cannot be installed on an SD card anymore

Dropbox has just announced it has implemented some changes to its Android application, which will fix several bugs and add a few new features.

One of the most important new features introduced will allow users to automatically upload photos and videos in the background using either Wi-Fi or mobile data connectivity.

In addition, the developers offer up to 3GB of free space for uploading photos automatically, but the amount of storage will be given in 500MB increments not all at once.

According to Dropbox, the team behind the application and cloud service, the Android app has been improved and it has also received some bug fixes.

Keep in mind that due to more secure credential storage, Dropbox for Android cannot be installed on an SD memory card anymore.

Dropbox is available as a free download in the Android Market and should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.0 and up.
