The good folks over at WhatsApp have just released a new version of their popular instant messaging application for Android devices.

One day after releasing versions 2.11.45 and 2.11.47, developers launched iteration 2.11.49. No official changelog has been unveiled yet, but we suspect the updated application features minor bug fixes and possibly some improvements.

WhatsApp Messenger 2.11.49 has yet to be uploaded to Google Play Store, but Android users who wish to install the latest version of the application can manually download it via developer’s website or Softpedia.

Keep in mind that this version of WhatsApp Messenger may still contain some bugs and untested features, so make sure you want to be among the first to take advantage of these features.

The new WhatsApp Messenger 2.11.49 is now available as a free download via Softpedia and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
