An updated flavor of the Photosynth application is now available for download for the owners of Windows Phone devices out here, namely version 1.7.

Unfortunately, Microsoft has not provided specific info on what was changed inside the application, as all that is noted in the changelog is that the new release comes with bug fixes.

However, it’s worth saying that the Photosynth application hasn’t received an update on Windows Phone for more than a year.

The fact that Microsoft remembered to resolve some issues in the software might suggest that more updates will be released in the not-too-distant future.

For those who never had the chance to try Photosynth out, we should note that it was designed as a panorama application, allowing users to easily capture 360 degrees horizontally and vertically.

Thus, the end result will be a sphere that is called Photosynth. These offer an interactive panoramic experience and can be easily shared on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter, using the free Photosynth.net service.

“Using the latest in computer vision techniques, Photosynth is the acknowledged leader in mobile panorama creation,” Microsoft states.

You can download Photosynth 1.7 for Windows Phone from Softpedia today. The app is compatible with all handsets running Windows Phone 7.5 and up.
