A new flavor of the Photoplay application is now available for download for the owners of devices running under Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system, namely 1.0.1.

The new app release was meant mainly to provide users with improvements to stability and localization, which should result in a better overall experience on the go.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Photoplay was designed to deliver the possibility to easily tweak photos straight from the handset, while also offering great sharing capabilities.

“Photoplay looks like Instagram. But it works with every modern smartphone, is simple, allows doing rectangular photos, has extended privacy settings, and much more,” the app’s description reads.

Photoplay comes with customizable effects, can show photos on the map, enables blur, tilt-shift, brightness and contrast modifications, and can also connect users with friends on social networks. Photoplay 1.0.1 for Windows Phone 8 can be found on this page.
