An updated iteration of the Google Play Music application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based devices out there, in the form of version 5.5.1509O.1140258.

The new app release comes along with a series of changes to the playlist management, but no other major adjustments are visible inside it, Android Police notes in a recent post.

Following the update, users will be able to edit playlists directly in the application, while also having the option to share playlists, as long as they are made public.

Basically, Google Play Music for Android will provide users with the possibility to change the name and description of playlists, which stack up nicely with the control they previously had over songs.

The same as before, the application will provide users with the possibility to easily discover, play and share music on their Android devices.

It also offers access to millions of songs on Google Play, via the All Access service, and enables users to listen to radio with no limits. Moreover, those with All Access and Standard accounts will also be able to take their own songs with them on the go (they can add up to 20,000 songs to their own collections).

You can download Google Play Music for Android from Softpedia today. The app is compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
