Google Play Books for Android, currently available for download as version 3.1.17, has seen a nice range of enhancements in the latest release, which resulted in books opening faster and smoother than before.

Furthermore, the application now enables users to upload EPUB or PDF files to their library from the phone or tablet. Regardless of whether from email or Downloads, users can simply touch a file to open it, and then choose Upload to Play Books.

Other enhancements were also included in the latest flavor of the Google Play Books application for Android devices, such as improved look and feel of highlights and notes, as well as lower brightness settings, for better reading in low light.

Moreover, the software allows users to read any book in landscape view and to dismiss recommended books in Read Now. The app also features various other enhancements in performance, stability, and accessibility.
