Flipboard, the popular application designed to provide Android users with access to world and social news in the form of a magazine, was updated to version 1.9.27 on Friday, so as to deliver a better overall experience.
With the new application release, users will be more efficient on their mobile data plan, courtesy of a new “Reduce Data Usage” option under Settings.
Additionally, the app will enable users to browse through article summaries even without an Internet connection, due to a newly included “Fetch for Offline” option, available either per section or for all sections in Settings.
The new application release arrives with a series of bug fixes and improvements as well, for all devices running under Android 2.2 and newer to benefit from. Flipboard 1.9.27 for Android can be found on this page.
