An updated flavor of the Blippar application is now available for download for the owners of Windows Phone devices out there, namely version 1.1.1.0.

The new software release arrives on handsets with a series of stability enhancements packed inside, as well as with various bug fixes, the available release notes unveil. Moreover, the new update was meant to allow users to run the latest blipps, it seems.

Blippar was released as an augmented reality image recognition application, and it has already managed to become a leader in the area, allowing users to easily discover more about the objects that surround them.

Using the application is very easy. All that users need to do is find a Blippar logo on an object or in a magazine, open the app, scan the page or products and the access info on it.

“Millions of people are already ‘blipping’, unlocking everyday objects with their mobile phones and tablets to reveal hidden interactive experiences. Blippar is your free magic ‘lens’ to access exclusive content, offers and real-time information from your favourite brands, publishers and retailers,” the application’s description reads.

Blippar can deliver videos and trailers, access to games, and 3D animation, while also enabling users to participate in contests and win prizes. Not to mention that they can share these experiences on Facebook and Twitter.

You can download Blippar 1.1.1.0 for Windows Phone from Softpedia today. The app should work on all Windows Phone 8 and up devices.
