Rovio updated its Angry Birds Go! for Android last week, but Windows Phone players have been skipped from the initial release of the major update.

The good news is that the Sub Zero episode that was initially released on Android platform is now available for Windows Phone devices as well. The bad news is that it took Rovio about a week to make it happen.

Still, Windows Phone users who play Angry Birds Go! will be pleased to know that their wait was well worth it, as the Sub Zero episode brings quite a lot of new content.

First of all, the snowy theme added in the form of a new winter track will offer lots of hours of entertainment to Angry Birds Go! addicts.

In addition, there are new karts and Telepods available. According to Rovio, no less than 8 new karts that were built by the Mechanic Pig have been included in the update. Unfortunately, we have no details on the new Telepod toys.

Rovio has also confirmed that Angry Birds Go! players should expect new rewards, as each day they come back for unique time-limited events, the rewards will be increasingly higher.

You can now download Angry Birds Go! for Windows Phone 1.2.0.0 for free via Windows Phone Store. The game is only compatible with devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
