Data Monitor is one of the first applications for BlackBerry 10 operating system that allows users to monitor their data usage.

The application was launched about a week ago, but it had some issues, which apparently can be fixed via updates.

One of the problems reported by users was the fact that Data Monitor could not retain records of data usage if the application was shut down or the phone rebooted.

Well, the latest update fixes this issue, so according to devs, data usage persists upon app shutdown or phone reboot. However, make sure you close the application before a phone reboot or battery pull.

There’s also a new update pending approval, which is expected to bring more improvements to the application, such as active frame dynamic updates, usage is saved hourly in addition to upon closing the app, as well as option to disable opening popup dialog.

Data Monitor for BlackBerry 10 1.0.6 is now available for download for £0.75/$0.99 via BlackBerry World and it should be fully compatible with all devices running BlackBerry 10 and up. Check it out here.
