One of the latest features to have been integrated into CyanogenMod ROMs is Voice Plus, which provides users with the possibility to enjoy sending of SMS messages through their Google Voice accounts.

“This has been merged into the project. Will be available in your friendly neighborhood nightlies,” the team announced.

CyanogenMod packed support for Google Voice into the custom software a while ago, but Voice Plus brings more than just that, as Android Police notes.

The feature will land inside upcoming nightly builds, and will still require the Google Voice app to be installed.

However, setting up Voice Plus and using it is very simple, it seems. As soon as the user has signed it with the wanted Google Voice account, any texting app on the device can use the account, it seems.
