Just as promised by Koushik Dutta last week, the CyanogenMod custom software now features a new Superuser integrated in it.

The Superuser app, which was also made available for download through the Google Play Store, is now integrated into the System Settings, the developer announced.

The tool was made available as open source software, and its integration into the CyanogenMod settings eliminates the need to install a third party app.

The Superuser app was announced with proper support for multiple users in Android 4.2, as well as with proper support for concurrent su requests.

With the app merged into the CM code, all users who install the latest nightly builds on their devices will be able to enjoy its functionality. However, it was included only in the new builds, and those who install the recently released CyanogenMod 10.1-M2 ROMs won’t enjoy it.
