A new flavor of the Chrome browser is now available for Android devices, though only in a beta state for the time being, namely version 28.0.1500.21.

The new release arrives on devices with a variety of enhancements packed inside, including support for fullscreen on tablets, enabling users to simply scroll the page to dismiss the toolbar.

The most important improvement in this update, however, is the support for Google Translate, which offers fast access to the translation bar when on a page written in a language different than the one set as default on the phone or tablet.

Chrome 28 Beta for Android brings support for fullscreen API, a new graph showing estimated bandwidth savings when the experimental data compression feature is enabled, and various other bug fixes.
