Good news for those who still own the old Casio G’zOne Commando smartphone, as Verizon has just confirmed that a new software update will be pushed OTA (over the air) in the next couple of days.

As AndroidPolice points out, the small CM771M140 update does not bring any major features. However, there are some security enhancements and bug fixes that G’zOne Commando will probably want to install on their devices.

First of all, Casio has managed to remedy the power-cycle issue that affected the smartphone for a long time. In addition, corporate contact search results now display much faster and V Cast Apps and Verizon Video have been removed.

Last but not least, calendar times affected by Daylight Savings have been corrected and new improvements in security with the latest Google Security Patch have been included in the update.
