The official Box for Android mobile client has received a new update today and is currently available for download as version 3.0, capable of offering a nice range of new features and enhancements to users.

As part of the new software release, Android users will enjoy a brand-new document previewer, which is said to be lightning fast, and which provides features such as pagination, search-in-document, presentation mode, and more.

At the same time, the new Box for Android iteration comes with an improved Gallery app for viewing images and also offers a new native OneCloud app gallery.

A series of other changes were also included in the update, such as overhauled menus in the action bar, which are accompanied by an additional sliding menu on individual file and folder rows.

Following the update, Android users will also see that the app comes with better side navigation pane, and that there are information headers available inside folders.

Moreover, the application includes a new user tour and tutorial, as well as updated to Polish and Turkish localization. There is also a new secure authentication process included in the mobile client, which will require a new login.

You can download Box for Android from Softpedia today. The application is compatible with all devices running under Android 2.1 and up.
