The developer cannot run a free service anymore given the economic circumstances

It looks like Bolt Browser has reached a dead end, as the developing team has just announced that the mobile browsing service will be discontinued.

Apparently, the company was forced to close the project due to the “economic circumstances.” No other details have been given, but for the time being loyal Bolt Browser users should try out other alternatives, such as UC Browser, Opera or even Dolphin Browser.

Although the company mentions that it cannot support the free service due to lack of funding, there’s a slim chance that the team behind the popular browser will come back with some sort of paid app in the future.

Either way, it’s sad to see one of the popular third party browsers for BlackBerry devices discontinued. Hopefully, this will affect loyal users only for a short time, as there are lots of other options available in the market.
