Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry is preparing a new flagship handset for launch, namely the BlackBerry Z30, supposedly the first smartphone in the company’s A-Series lineup, and the phone has already received the necessary approvals from the Global Certification Forum.

The device was spotted on the GCF’s website with GSM/EDGE; 3G/HSPA (2100, 1900, 850, 800, 900) and LTE AWS, 700 bands packed inside, and with model number STA100-3 attached to it.

No other details on what the handset might include in terms of features and capabilities have been provided, but it appears almost certain that all the needed info will become official in the near future.

As N4BB notes, BlackBerry might be set to bring the smartphone to the market before the end of this year.

Previous rumors on the matter suggested that the BlackBerry Z30 would sport a 5-inch touchscreen display, a dual-core processor inside, 2GB of RAM, and a design similar to that of BlackBerry Z10.
