Canadian carrier Fido has just added RIM’s BlackBerry Bold 9790 smartphone to its portfolio. The smartphone is now available for purchase for as low as $50 CAD with a new three-year agreement.

Customers who do not want to commit to a long-term contract will have to come up with $450 CAD upfront to get this one. The same price is available for those who acquire the device on prepaid service.

Although this is no BlackBerry 10 smartphone, Bold 9790 is among the most powerful handsets launched by RIM.

It comes equipped with a 1 GHz single core processor and packs 768MB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded to up to 32GB via microSD card.

BlackBerry Bold 9790 combines both worlds as the smartphone comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2.45-inch capacitive touchscreen display. Check it out here.
