Rogers is among the first Canadian carriers to confirm the release of the recently launched BlackBerry Bold 9790.

The network operator stated that the smartphone will hit shelves “just in time for the holiday gift-giving season.” There is no information on the phone's price tag, but the carrier will probably announce more details in due time.

Just like some of the previous BlackBerry 7 smartphone introduced earlier this year, the Bold 9790 comes with the fastest browser for a BlackBerry to date, as well as Liquid Graphics processing technology that offers crisper then ever graphics.

On the inside, the smartphone is equipped with a 1 Ghz single core processor and packs 8 GB storage, 768 MB of RAM as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).
