Shortly after Clove UK announced the availability of the BlackBerry Bold 9790 earlier than it was initially expected, O2 confirmed that the smartphone could be purchased through all its official channels.

Unveiled last month, BlackBerry Bold 9790 was slated for a January 20 release in the UK, but for unknown reasons RIM decided to rush the launch of the smartphone.

Customers who cannot afford to purchase the Bold 9790 via Clove for £330 (510 USD or 395 EUR) outright should head over to O2 and grab the smartphone for free.

However, the deal requires customers to commit to a 24-month £27 tariff, which will net them only 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data.

O2 offers the device on PAYG (pay as you go) as well, but customers need to shell out no less than £350 (540 USD or 420 EUR).
