Owners of Android-based devices can now download and install an updated flavor of the Bing application, currently available as version 4.2.3.20140303.

The new application iteration arrives on devices with only a few changes when compared to the previously available release, but one of them will certainly appeal a lot to users.

We’re referring here to the possibility to download images that are delivered as part of the search results, a feature that is not available in Google’s search app. The option was available in Google as well, though the Internet giant decided to remove it a while ago, as AndroidPolice notes.

Following the update to the new Bing 4.2.3.20140303 app version, owners of Android devices can easily save images by simply pressing and holding their fingers on them.

A confirmation dialogue will pop up, after which they will simply have to click on the “Save to Gallery” button to have the image downloaded to their devices.

On top of that, the new app iteration also comes with a series of bug fixes and user interface improvements, yet no specific details on any of them has been provided.

You can download Bing for Android from Softpedia today. The application comes with support for all devices that run under Android 2.2 and newer OS versions.
