Good news for anyone using Bing Search on their Android smartphones, as Microsoft has just released a new update that further improves the application and adds new features into the mix.

With more than 1 million downloads on Google Play Store, Bing Search is not among the most popular applications released by Microsoft. However, it’s nice to know that Android users are willing to use other services on their handsets, other than Google’s.

The latest update is meant to attract more Android enthusiasts into using Bing services and apps. According to Microsoft, the new update for Bing Search for Android brings support for multiple browser tabs.

More importantly, the application now supports fullscreen browsing, something that users have been soliciting for a long time. Last but not least, shortcuts to Bing Maps and News from the menu have been added in the update as well.

Using Bing Search will get you Rewards, but only if you live in the United States. You will then be able to redeem these rewards for gift cards and other prizes.

You can now download Bing Search for Android for free via Google Play store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 2.2 and up.
