Canadian carriers Bell and Virgin Mobile have quietly launched HD Voice service in Saskatchewan, so starting today mobile phone users should experience better voice quality.

Although both carriers have introduced the service in Canada early this year, Saskatchewan customers were left out due to some disagreements between SaskTel and MTS, which has just been settled. Obviously, not all customers will be able to benefit from the newly introduced HD Voice service.

Several handsets have been confirmed by Bell and Virgin Mobile to be fully compatible with this service: Motorola MOTOLUXE, HTC One S, HTC One V, HTC Raider 4G LTE, BlackBerry Bold 9900, Nokia C6, Nokia C6-01, HTC Sensation and HTC Incredible S.

Keep in mind that in order to benefit from HD Voice service, both callers will have to be localized in a 4G HSPA+ coverage area and own one of the devices listed above.
