Samsung Galaxy Rugby was slated for an April 19 launch at Bell Canada, but the smartphone won’t be released anymore.

For unknown reasons the carrier decided to postpone the Galaxy Rugby’s launch. According to an internal document published by the guys over at MobileSyrup:

The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Rugby smartphone has been delayed and is no longer scheduled for Thursday April 19, 2012. A revised launch date will be provided in a future communication.”

There’s a slight chance that Bell decided to match Rogers and SaskTel launch dates for the Galaxy Rugby, but until we get more details we can’t be sure.

When released, the Galaxy Rugby will probably be priced at $299.95 outright. The rugged smartphone is IP67 certified, dust and water-proof and comes with a 3.7-inch touchscreen and an 800 MHz single-core inside.
