The popular BlackBerry Messenger application and service is finally making its way to Android and iOS devices, after many months of waiting.

The Canadian mobile phone maker is expected to officially launch the application as soon as tomorrow, September 19, during an event set to take place in Jakarta, Indonesia, n4bb claims.

Furthermore, the company is said to plan on making the software available for download for both Android and iOS devices starting with September 20.

Apparently, the handset vendor has already sent out invitations to the launch event in Jakarta, at least this is what teknoup.com reports.

BlackBerry confirmed plans to bring BBM to more mobile platforms out there a while ago, but it hasn’t provided a specific release date for it until now.
