Avira has just announced that its latest version of antivirus for Android devices comes with new features and lots of “under the hood” and visual improvements.

According to developers, the latest Android version has undergone a complete redesign. In addition, it now comes with support for profile names and photos and instant status on the console (“Protected” or “Action Required”).

The “Remote Scream” feature has been renamed “Remote Yell” and the option to test “Yell” and “Locate” anti-theft features are now possible within the application. There are no more filters for the blacklist feature in order to make it easier to use.

You can now download Avira Antivirus for Android for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
