Archos has recently announced the new Oxygen series of smartphones, which adds to the already available lineup of Titanium and Platium handsets.

The first smartphone in the upcoming series is called Archos 50 Oxygen and has been confirmed as the new series’ flagship device.

It will come with unskinned Android 4.2 operating system (Google certified), as well as a full HD IPS capacitive touchscreen.

Archos 50 Oxygen is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and packs 16GB of internal memory. No word on the screen’s size and amount of RAM, but we expect that more details will be available this week as the phone will be officially announced at IFA 2013 trade fair.

Other highlights of the smartphone include an impressive 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
