Yesterday, Apple unveiled to the world a new flavor of their popular iPhone device, the iPhone 4S, and the device has already received the necessary approvals from the FCC, it seems.

The handset that passed through the FCC certification process was packing the model number A1387, yet no specifications on the device were offered via that filing, except for the fact that the new model will pack both GSM and CDMA connectivity capabilities and Bluetooth 4.0.

Of course, Apple has already unveiled the new device, and we know that it packs a dual-core application processor, a 3.5-inch screen or an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back.

In addition to this new model, the FCC also approved a new iPhone 4 flavor, with a series of changes into the mix, it seems. The iPhone 4S should go up for sale on October 14th.
