Rovio has just announced that a new major update for its sequel to the Angry Birds Star Wars smash hit is now available for Windows Phone players.

The update brings no less than 40 new levels to Angry Birds Stars Wars II players, which are set on Kamino and Coruscant. The new update is called Rise of the Clones and adds another chapter to the Star Wars saga.

Aside from the new content featured in this update, the developers have also confirmed that they have added new gameplay elements, such as the options to “navigate the fast-flowing waters on stormy Kamino, and get an extra boost from the air turbines on Coruscant.”

The new levels are split into two, so players will be able to first tackle the 20 Pork side levels in which players must destroy the Republic’s Clone Army on Kamino and face off against the mighty Jedi.

There are also 20 Bird side levels, which challenge players to use the force and take down the Sith that have taken over the skies of Coruscant.

According to Rovio, the update also contains more secret levels. Players will have to track down the hidden maps to unlock two secret levels on each side. Developers have also added the Last Chance Bird, which can be used by players when they need just one more bird to complete a level.

You can now download Angry Birds Star Wars II for Windows Phone 1.5.1.0 for 0.99 via Windows Phone Store. The game is fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1 and up.
