Android 5.0 Lollipop for Sony Xperia Z3 and Z2 Coming Soon, Probably in March

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update was introduced three months ago, but the new build hasn't reached all that many devices.

Back in January we were telling you that all of Sony’s flagship handsets, including the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z1will receive the Lollipop treatment.

Back then we didn't have a specific date for you, but luckily the folks of Xperia Blog are showing us a document that proves the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z3 will be upon us very soon.

We’re not given the exact date, but the document taken from Vodafone Australia’s data base shows the Android 5.0 update for the two handsets mentioned above is awaiting testing and is expected to start this month.

So that means we’re probably going to see the new build roll out for Vodafone devices around March, but we’re not given a specific date anywhere.

Sony has a rooster of other Xperia devices awaiting the update including the Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact, and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact.
