Good news for HTC One (M7) owners who purchased their smartphones through T-Mobile's retail channels, as the device will receive the long-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop update next week.

While most HTC One (M7) users have already received the update in Europe and other regions, those in the United States have been skipped from the initial rollout.

Not to mention that carrier-branded One (M7) are receiving the update later than the unlocked models. This is one of the reason T-Mobile customers who own HTC's previous flagship smartphone had to wait so long for Lollipop to arrive on their devices.

Anyway, HTC's Mo Versi has just confirmed his company recently received technical approval on Android 5.0 Lollipop for T-Mobile One (M7) and that they will start to deploy the update on Tuesday, March 10.

The upgrade will be rolled out OTA (over the air) in stages, so it might take a few days until it reaches all HTC One (M7) units at T-Mobile.

Android 5.0 Lollipop includes lots in improvements and new features for One (M7), including the new HTC Sense 6. However, it's unclear whether or not HTC plans to offer the Sense 7 UI to One (M7) devices as well.
