Samsung has started offering its newest Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge flagships on retail locations, right on schedule. Well, the Galaxy S6 Edge has barely made it out into the hands of some customers and the producing company is already rolling out an OTA update to Android 5.0.2.

The new update, which is currently being implemented in Netherlands, weighs 250.53MB and reportedly comes to improve touchscreen response, improve compatibility with accessories, and add interface enhancements in E-mail, Muziek, S-Planner and other applications. The OTA will also be in charge of bestowing new features to Photo Editor.

For the time being, the OTA update seems to be arriving on the devices of users in Europe, so we don’t know whether the US will get it too. It makes sense to assume it will be a while before the new build comes stateside, as it would take a few weeks for carriers to approve the update.

With the grand real-life debut of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge happening today, Samsung wants to make sure everything goes smoothly. And providing a better user experience is part of the deal.

Are you considering purchasing one of Samsung’s new models or do you have your sights set on something else?
