Owners of the HTC Droid DNA smartphone looking to get the Android 4.4 KitKat platform upgrade to their devices should know that the software release is already under testing at Verizon.

No official info on when the software arrives has been provided until now, but it appears that it might not be too long before that happens.

Previously, HTC has officially confirmed that the OS upgrade will be delivered to the smartphone before the end of the year’s first quarter, without providing additional details on this.

However, HTC’s support website is currently listing the platform release as pending certification from Verizon, which means that the carrier is testing it in its labs.

According to HTC Source, however, we might not see the update being delivered until mid- or late-February, so users will still have to wait a bit longer for it.
