With Android 4.4 KitKat around the corner, details on the upcoming operating system continue to surface online. The latest screenshots offer a glimpse of what it has to offer and have been taken on a Nexus 7 (2013) tablet.

The images were recently leaked via ZDNet and some of them show comparisons between Android 4.3.1 Jelly Bean and 4.4 KitKat, so we can have a better idea of what’s new. We have screenshots taken of the App Drawer, Settings, QuickOffice, NFC payment options and more.

Android 4.4 KitKat is expected to be unveiled sometime this month, but we’re still waiting for official confirmation on the release of the major upgrade.

In the same piece of news, Google is likely to announce the next Nexus smartphone manufactured by LG at the same time, so stay tune for more updates on the matter.
