More wireless carriers in Canada are now providing their Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S III users with an update to the Android 4.4.2 KitKat platform release, it seems.

The latest to have done so is WIND Mobile, after Rogers, Bell, TELUS, and Koodo all started to deliver the new platform release to users last week.

According to a recent article on MobileSyrup, the update is now live at the aforementioned wireless carrier and is also set to become available for download very soon at Videotron.

In fact, it seems that the owners of said two devices on the network of this wireless carrier should already start receiving a notification on the availability of the update.

The new platform iteration will land on smartphones as a fairly large download, weighing 500MB on the Galaxy Note 2, and 364MB on the Galaxy S III.

Users interested in downloading the update can manually check on its availability by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update and hitting the Check now button.

The new platform iteration brings along a nice range of enhancements, including an updated UI, improved camera, wireless printing capabilities, and more. What remains to be seen is whether Samsung will make the newer Android 4.4.3 or Android 4.4.4 OS versions available for these phones as well.
