It's been almost a month since Motorola pushed the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update to Moto G in Europe, but customers in the United States have been skipped from the initial rollout.

The reasons is probably the fact that each update must be approved by the US carriers, which seems to take more time than necessary.

Anyway, it looks like after three weeks, Verizon Wireless has just started to deploy the highly anticipated Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the Moto G.

AndroidCentral reports the update is now pushed OTA (over the air) in wave, so it might take a few days until it reaches all Verizon Moto G units.

Aside from bringing the phone's software to version 4.4.2, the update adds some general improvements and allows Moto G owners to use the latest apps offered by Motorola, such as the new Gallery application available in the Google Play Store.
