Owners of Xperia ZL (C650X) devices can now start checking to see whether the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system update has been delivered to their handsets, as Sony Mobile has already started pushing it out.

A recent post on XperiaBlog notes that the new software flavor arrives on handsets featuring firmware version 10.3.A.0.423, and that the European LTE variant of the device is currently receiving it.

Sony has yet to provide specific info on the new software release, though it seems that it won’t be long before it makes the move.

Furthermore, we should expect the company to announce specific plans on bringing the Android 4.2.2 platform release to Xperia Z devices as well, given that the two smartphones are tightly connected. Keep an eye on this space for additional details.
