Sony Mobile has recently refreshed its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade roadmap for 2011 Xperia phones, as well Xperia NXT devices.

It appears that the Japanese company has decided against updating the Xperia PLAY to Android 4.0 due to some compatibility issues with the gaming features of the phone.

Furthermore, Sony confirmed Xperia S would receive its promised Ice Cream Sandwich update in late June, though the handset vendor failed to offer an exact release date.

However, an official video showing the Xperia S running Android 4.0.4 ICS has just been leaked online, which means that at least one Sony smartphone will get its upgrade as scheduled.

The 5-minute video shows that the phone now has a new Gallery and Walkman music player, but the proprietary Sony launcher has been kept. Check it out above.
