Canadian wireless carrier Bell is gearing up for the release of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the Optimus LTE smartphone on its airwaves, and the platform has already leaked online.

Recent reports suggested that the new OS version might land on this smartphone only in late August, but it appears that the carrier is ready to have it delivered to users.

Optimus LTE is the only smartphone from LG’s older lineup that will get a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich, the handset vendor confirmed recently.

The company announced that phones such as Optimus 2X or Optimus Black will be left out of this platform upgrading, which suggests that they will skip future OS updates as well.

Those Optimus LTE owners on Bell’s network who would like to get a taste of ICS before the official release should head over to XDA-Developers to learn more on the leak.
