It appears that the long-rumored Android 4.0.4 update for the Galaxy Nexus has finally reached Canadian shores. As Google confirmed, this is only available for certain Galaxy Nexus models.

Unfortunately, the search giant has yet to issue any specific info regarding the devices eligible for this update.

The folks at MobileSyrup have just learned that the update is now available for download in Canada, though it’s still too early to confirm the information.

There have been reports that Galaxy Nexus owners with yakju builds (updates managed by Google) have started to receive the Android 4.0.4 software update.

On the other hand, those who own a Galaxy Nexus device with yakjux build (updates managed directly by Samsung) have yet to report the availability of the Android 4.0.4 update for their smartphones.
