Shortly after T-Mobile USA announced the upcoming availability of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, the carrier confirmed that another tablet, Huawei Springboard, would get the long-awaited update as well.

Aside from bringing the tablet’s software to Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, the update also includes UI performance improvements, such as enhanced touch experience, as well as Wi-Fi connection improvements.

In addition, the update adds several bug fixes, such as improved memory allocation. This is a critical update that will allow T-Mobile’s Springboard to receive future OS updates. The following issues have been addressed as well: Unrecognized SIM Card Error, Power and Reboot Fixes.

Software version S7-303uV100R001C201B035 is about 90MB in size and will be pushed OTA (over the air), in stages, beginning August 15.
