14 DAY TRIAL // The owners of a Nexus S smartphone at Vodafone Australia have the possibility to download and install a new operating system flavor on their devices, the wireless carrier has announced.
The update was made available for them since last week, following the release of this new software from Google themselves.
“Great news to for Nexus S users, as some of you may have noticed Google has now released Android 2.3.6 update for your smartphone,” Vodafone notes in a recent blog post.
To manually search for the update, users will simply have to go to Settings > About phone > System updates. The new flavor of Gingerbread arrives on devices weighing in at 97.5MB, and will be delivered to all users over-the-air.
Before proceeding, users should backup all data on their devices and fully charge them.
