Canadian carrier TELUS silently released yet another Alcatel smartphone powered by Google’s Android mobile operating system, the OneTouch Pop Icon.

Potential customers should know that Alcatel OneTouch Pop Icon is now available for purchase for only $150 (€100) on prepaid. This seems like a good deal considering the phone’s specs sheet.

Speaking of which, the OneTouch Pop Icon ships with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box and it’s only available in black color option.

The smartphone is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 4GB of internal memory, but there are no details on the amount of RAM. There’s a high chance that it packs 1GB of RAM, but we don’t have a confirmation yet.

Anyway, users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot. The smartphone also sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display, supporting FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) resolution.

On the back, Alcatel OneTouch Pop Icon packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there’s a secondary VGA camera for video calls.

It’s also worth mentioning that the phone is powered by a 2000 mAh battery and offers a decent range of connectivity options such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, microUSB and GPS with A-GPS.
