It looks like Micromax plans to launch much a cheaper Android smartphone than the recently rumored A115 Canvas 3D and A120 Canvas 3.

AndroidOS reports that an unannounced Micromax Canvas Viva A72 will go official in India in the next few days and will be priced at around Rs 5,000 ($90/€70).

The smartphone will boast a huge 5-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display, a 1GHz processor and dual cameras (3-megapixel rear-facing camera and VGA front-facing photo snapper).

Software-wise, Canvas Viva A72 will ship with Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system out of the box. It will also pack 256MB of RAM, 512MB of ROM (110MB user available), as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

Obviously, it will offer dual-SIM capability, along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The phone will be powered by a high-capacity 2,000 mAh Li-Ion battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
